One donor. Two people who see again.

Around five lakh people in Tamil Nadu live without sight. Eyes donated by 602 families have already given sight to 1,204 of them.

Pledges on the register

Updating live

Every one of them is a verified registration, and a family who has been told what to do when the time comes.

Three registers. One decision.

Registering takes two minutes. A verified digital pledge card reaches you by email — carry it, and tell your family, because it is they who will make the call.

Why we exist

Why one decision matters so much.

Around five lakh people in Tamil Nadu live without sight. One person's donation gives sight to two of them. Our work is to make that single decision easy to take.

A pledge only helps if it can be acted on. So every pledger is verified, carries a scannable card, and is asked to tell their family — because it is the family who makes the call, in the four to six hours that decide it.

Read our mission

One donor, two people

Every donation is two corneas and two people who see again. 602 donors have become 1,204 people with sight.

Hours, not days

Corneas must be collected within four to six hours of death. A pledge register only helps if someone answers the phone at three in the morning, so we do.

The family decides

Consent comes from the next of kin, never from a card alone. We ask every pledger to tell their family, and we speak to families gently and without pressure.

Dignity first

No photographs of people at their lowest, no cost to a grieving family, no visible change to the face.

Common questions

The three questions every family asks.

If a death has occurred, do not read — call us. The first four to six hours are the only ones that matter.

Almost anyone. Age, sex and blood group make no difference. People who wear spectacles, who have had cataract surgery, or who live with diabetes or high blood pressure can all donate. Eyes are not taken only where death was caused by a few specific infections.
